Be Part of the inaugural CANTA Kids Choir!
- For children in 2nd-8th grade!
- NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- Our choir will rehearse six times this Spring, perform in local churches and end the year with a Concert Tour to Convencíon at Howard Payne University in June!
- CANTA directors and volunteers are experienced worship leaders with expertise in band, choir, orchestra, theater and music education.

CANTA Audition
March 14, 2026 (Saturday)
FBC Weslaco | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Description of Audition:
Each student will send a 1 minute video in which they will state their name, their age, and the church they attend. After that, the student will sing “Happy Birthday” using the track provided. You will need two devices, one to play the recording, and one to record the video.
CANTA Kids Choir
Our Mission
The CANTA Kids Choir exists to encourage and promote children’s Christian faith through music; teaching worship and prayer in the form of a bilingual children’s choir, with opportunities to learn worship and worship leadership through rehearsal and performance.
Cost
CANTA Kids Choir is funded through a joint effort by Convencíon Bautista Hispana de Tejas, and local churches through sponsorships and fundraising. Students will only be financially responsible for meals on our Summer Tour if our fundraising goals through local churches are not met.
